Law: NYC Administrative Code 
(Search for Title 24, Chapter 1, Subchapter 7, Section 163.8: Use of ultra low sulfur diesel fuel in diesel-powered generators used in the production of films, television programs and advertisements, and at street fairs)
Summary: Local Law 16 of 2009 requires that any diesel-powered generator utilized for a street fair that requires a city permit, or for a film, television or advertising production that requires a city permit must use ultra low sulfur diesel fuel or an alternative fuel. NYC's Street Activity Permit Office and the Mayor's Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting will provide each permit applicant with a notice of the provisions and requirements of this law.
