Contest Information for Schools in New York City
The Golden Apple Awards offers schools
in NYC prizes* and recognition for documenting their
model school recycling programs, waste prevention
initiatives, or beautification projects.
The Golden Apple Awards consists of three contests. In each contest, schools compete against
other schools within their grade division (elementary,
intermediate, or high school) for borough and citywide
honors.
Winners
of the 2009 Golden Apple Awards
have been
announced. Congratulations to all of the winners, and thank you to every
student, teacher, faculty member, and custodial staff member who competed.
You make New York City shine!
Participating students from this
year's winning
schools will receive certificates of recognition and other goodies, and
the
NYC
Recycling Characters will attend award presentations to honor the
contest's citywide winners.
