

94th Annual Travis 4th of July Parade

The Travis 4th of July Parade Committee is proudly hosting their 94th Independence Day Parade in Staten Island. Travis is proud if its history, which dates back to the revolutionary war. And is seen at its best each year on the 4th of July, when we host one of the oldest consecutive Independence Day celebrations in the United States. The Travis community continues this tradition with pride, patriotism and perseverance.
General Information:
Day of Event: Sunday, July 4, 2004 (rain or shine)
Grand Marshal: James S. Oddo, Council Member 50th District
Reviewing Stand: P.S 26, 4108 Victory Blvd, between Wild and Melvin Aves
Formation/Dismissal: Showplace Center, 141 East Service Road
Street Closings: All access roads into Travis will be closed at 11:30 a.m.
Ceremony: 12:00 noon from the reviewing stand
Parade Step-off: 12:30 p.m. from Showplace Center
Directions:
From the Verrazano Bridge, take 278 West (Staten Island Expressway) to 440 South (West Shore Expressway). Take Exit 7, Victory Boulevard. Make left at the traffic light (Victory Blvd) and right into Showplace Center.
From the Outerbridge Crossing, take 440 North (West Shore Expressway) to Exit 7 Victory Boulevard. Make right at the traffic light (Victory Blvd) and right into Showplace Center.
From the Goethals Bridge, Take 278 East (Staten Island Expressway) to 440 South (West Shore Expressway) to Exit 7 Victory Blvd. Make left at the traffic light (Victory Blvd) and right into Showplace Center.
