Cable Executives Gather in San Francisco to Learn from NYC TV Executives

Arick Wierson, the General Manager of NYC TV and NYC Media Group, and Trevor Scotland, the Network's Director of Business Development, addressed the 25th national gathering of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors in two separate seminars this last week. Both focused on the successes of NYC TV, sharing their strategic insights with the hundreds of television station managers who congregated at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in downtown San Francisco, eager to hear from the network that is on the leading edge of programming and innovation in city-centric television.

Over 200 cable executives jammed the into the historic hotel's Colonial Ballroom to take in Wierson's presentation. He highlighted many of the challenges the network has had to overcome over the course of the past fifteen months since launching, and showcased what many in the industry are now calling the most bold and innovative municipal network in the country.

Scotland's presentation focused on the network's on-air promotions and the tie-ins between content development and partner/client management. Scotland played clips from many of NYC TV's cutting edge promos, as well as offering a sneak peek at the network's retooled traffic program. That program, City Drive Live, will debut in the coming weeks as its own, groundbreaking, 24/7 channel.
