Figuring out ones place in the world can be hard, especially when you’re a child. Join host Cristina Fernandez and director Caryn Waechter as they recall their comings of age on this episode of Backdrop NYC while they watched Waechter’s own film “God is Good” and Ru Kuwahata’s animation “Daikon Ashi” at Seward Park’s playground.

One day in the summer of 1978 Harold's world changed forever. His father's philandering ways drove his mom to seek a drastic solution so late one summer night in 1978, Harold unexpectedly finds her sitting in his father's beloved red Corvette. This moment will forever burn in his memory. This short received the New Line Cinema Award for Best Director at the 2004 Columbia University Film Festival.
