They're So New York
New York City is the capital of the world, and "That's So New York" host, Kela Walker, captures the unique events happening around town while highlighting the City’s distinct character. Now NYC TV wants to give YOU the chance to showcase the Big Apple and all of its flavor. Each week, Kela will hand over the mic to a new talent, giving them their chance to shine - turning “That’s So New York” into “They’re So New York.”

Host: Dennis Pressey
     
 

Dennis Pressey was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. He is a graduate of the New York High School of Performing Arts, drama department. He also studied with Martin Barter of the Neighborhood playhouse. His training also includes a two year internship on Broadway with the National Actors Theatre, under the direction of the late Tony Randall.

Dennis has appeared in the feature Film "Down to Earth" produced by Chris Rock. His acting has been seen at the Trbeca Film Festival in "The Lucky One's" and in "Mentor". In "Mentor" Dennis played Dr. Kyle Hanson opposite Rutger Hauer. In "Fronterz" Dennis was a lead actor playing Ron Lewis opposite Ted Danson, Blair Underwood, and Henry Winkler.

Dennis has also guest starred, and co-starred on several episodes of NBC'S Law & Order, Criminal Intent, and Special Victims Unit. Dennis' voice has also been heard in several voice overs and promos. Most notably the animated film "Everyone's Hero", promos for Showtime’s "Soul Food," the Britney Spears Concert, and the Showtime network itself. Dennis also did the promos for the Logo networks "Noah's Arc". In addition to acting professionally Dennis also teaches conflict resolution through the use of creative Theatre to "At Risk" New York City middle and High School students. He has been doing this work for 15 years.
