Cristina Fernandez is the host of “Backdrop NYC,” the NYC TV weekly show that profiles the city’s most creative filmmakers and their vibrant short films. Cristina is also an actress, working in theatre, film & television.

Aside from hosting “Backdrop NYC,” Cristina has worked with the NBA & NHL’s entertainment divisions as a host and correspondent, working the red carpet, on live TV and interviewing sports stars, fans and celebrities. Other national shows include Fuse TV and American Latino.

Cristina has enjoyed great success in the short time she has lived in New York, thanks to being continuously inspired by the City. When she is not interviewing the next Scorcese or performing on a stage, she enjoys anthropological studies, heated philosophical discussions and intense yoga practices. Born in Puerto Rico to Cuban parents, Cristina is extremely passionate about representing Latinos in the arts.
