Brianisms in Episode 14 - Lower East Side, Unscripted!

Essex Street Market, Schapiro’s Wine Products
What’s Brian singing? Brian is singing a drinking song called “Show Me the Way to Go Home” made famous in the movie Jaws . The song was written by Irving King in 1925 and sung to Willie Nelson as a child by his grandfather. And no, Brian has not been drinking.

Guss’ Pickles
Is this a world record? Brian may come close, but as it stands, “Krazy” Kevin Lipsitz holds the world’s pickle eating record: 2 ½ pounds of pickles in 5 minutes.

Brianisms in Episode 11 - Northern Bronx

City Island Yacht Club
Why is Brian hurting? There goes Brian again… always the ladies man. Tune in next week to see if Julie takes Brian up on one of his many offers. What is Brian thinking?!

Brianisms in Episode 10 - Eastern Queens

Queens County Farm Museum
What’s Brian doing? Several years ago someone dropped these grouse off at the farm. They are known to playfully chase humans. Here Brian takes on the role of the chicken-like birds and playfully chases them.

The Forest Park Carousel
What’s Brian singing? Brian and carousel operator Carlos Colon are singing their version of Soliloquy from the Broadway musical Carousel by Rogers and Hammerstein.

Voelker Orth Museum
What’s Brian lisping? The museum is named after the people who used to live in this house. Brian cleverly inserts the museum’s name into the theme song from the popular 1960s tv show, Mr. Ed, making for a ridiculous rhyme. Mr. Ed, of courth, was a talking horsth.

Queens Botanical Garden
What’s Brian got in common with pink squirrels? Brian’s reference here is to The Magic Garden, a children’s television show from the 1970s that featured a joking daisy patch and a talking pink squirrel.

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning
What’s Brian going crazy for? Carole Anne? The light? Those of you who have seen the movie Poltergeist might remember Carole Anne. The cherubic little girl was kidnapped by angry spirits and held hostage inside a television set. Her parents tried to communicate with her by shouting into the tv.
