Maryam Basir is a young star in the making. And a renaissance woman: a successful actor, TV host, model and dancer.

She has held lead roles in independent films, national TV commercials (Burger King, Nike, MTV), and you might recognize her from one of the many music videos she’s been featured in (Jay Z, Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, DMX and Fabolous, to name a few). She was also one of Sean Paul’s on-stage dancers at the 2003 MTV Awards, and has even done a number for the Princess of Afghanistan!

In addition to hosting $9.99, Maryam also hosts the fashion segment of “Eye on It,” an entertainment program that airs weekly on Time Warner Cable. She is open to delving into new and exciting projects in the future and is dedicated to improving her craft.
