Leased Housing Customer Service Unit

In an effort to better assist Section 8 Property Owners and tenants, NYCHA’s Leased Housing Department is establishing the Leased Housing Customer Service Unit, which provides outreach and technical assistance to our valued Section 8 customers on two distinct hotlines:

Eviction Services Hotline:  (212) 306-8500
Outreach and Technical Assistance Hotline:  (212) 306-8555

The Leased Housing Customer Service Unit can help you do the following:

  • Provide assistance on Section 8 inquiries
  • Review Property Owner requests for certification of eviction due to non-payment of rent or holdover
  • Register Property Owners to receive failed inspection notices (NE-1 notice) by e-mail
  • List and publicize available apartments for the Section 8 program
  • Coordinate with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Housing Preservation and Development on lead paint issues and clearance
