The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has a proud tradition of resident volunteers who give their time to enhance the safety and security of their communities. For over 40 years, thousands of residents have volunteered in the former Tenant Patrol Program, providing a community service. This important initiative has been revamped and strengthened so that residents can be more effective in contributing to the quality of life in their buildings, grounds and neighborhoods.
