As part of the New York City Housing Authority’s efforts to continuously improve customer service to our residents and commercial tenants, we are pleased to introduce new rent payment features that are safe, fast, and convenient through our new online payment provider who has reduced all convenience fees and offers new payment features:
Reduced convenience fees - Payment by e-check costs as little as $ 0.30 (thirty cents) per payment. MasterCard debit card fees have also been significantly reduced. Debit card fees vary by payment amount. See the debit card fee schedule.
Pay by Phone - Residential customers have a new telephone number to pay rent by phone: 1-866-315-6355. For more information on how to pay rent by phone visit our Frequently Asked Questions page.
Pay by e-check or MasterCard - Residential and Commercial customers can pay rent online by e-check using your bank account and routing number, or pay by MasterCard debit card. Visa debit cards are no longer accepted.
Sign-up for e-Bill - Residential and Commercial customers can sign-up to receive monthly rent statements as an “e-Bill.” e-Bill is paperless, enviromentally friendly and free. e-Bill customers will not receive a paper rent statement/invoice and can pay rent online for FREE when paying via e-check. Residents who do not sign-up for e-Bill and continue to receive paper statements will pay the same reduced fees that apply to phone payments. Online Banking Bill Payment - Pay your rent by using your bank’s online banking system or online bill payer. You can now add NYCHA as a payee, and make payments directly from your bank account.
