The NYCHA lease describes the terms and conditions of your tenancy with the New York City Housing Authority and explains the obligations of NYCHA, as your landlord, and you, the resident. The lease highlights the requirements for residents of public housing, including the obligation to provide family composition and income information. Please read the lease carefully and keep a copy for your records.

Lease Addendum and Rent Notice
A Lease Addendum and Rent Notice is mailed to you each year after your annual income review is completed. The Lease Addendum and Rent Notice inform you about your new rent and the effective date. It also may indicate a no change in rent if applicable. On the Rent Notice you will also be advised if your rent is based on 30% of your net income or a "ceiling/flat" rent, your authorized family composition, deductions granted to calculate your net income as well as recurring charges.
