	Efficient management and quality construction are essential to NYCHA's ability to execute its ambitious capital program. NYCHA recently implemented the Construction Management/Build (CM/Build) Program to improve the quality of construction projects and ensure that they are administered effectively and efficiently. Under CM/Build, NYCHA retains experienced construction management firms to provide pre-construction, construction management and related services for major capital projects. NYCHA currently has awarded ten contracts for CM/Build services for $425 million in construction projects. CM/Build utilizes pre-qualified subcontractors, thereby streamlining the contractor selection process and ensuring the quality of work.
