REES Career Specialists can provide you with appropriate referrals for employment, training, financial counseling, and adult education resources.
REES Central

The REES Central Office is located at 787 Atlantic Ave., 2nd Fl., Brooklyn, NY 11238. 

The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call the REES Hotline at 718-289-8100 to make an appointment and learn more.

Eligibility

To receive services, you must be an authorized NYCHA resident.

Come to a REES Information Session to find out about potential resources and opportunities.

Documents Needed for Your Appointment:

  • Valid photo ID (examples include: a DMV issued ID/driver’s license or Benefit Card)

To serve you better, you may bring the following documents to your appointment if you have them:

  • Résumé
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate (REQUIRED for construction training)
  • College degree or transcript, educational certificates and/or licenses
  • Driver’s license
  • Housing Composition Letter

REES Information Sessions

General REES Information Sessions are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m.

You will be greeted by REES staff and asked to attend a short presentation where you will receive an overview of all of REES’ available services, which include referrals for employment, training, GED and ESOL classes available through a NYCHA Community Center, financial counseling, and appointments to attend the Test of Adult Basic Education (T.A.B.E.), which is the first step in the application process for the NYCHA Resident Training Academy (NRTA).

Computer Resource Room

Our Computer Resource Room is available Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Computers are available for you to work independently or with assistance to create resumes, setup email accounts, perform your job search and complete online employment applications. You will have access to:

  • Computers with Internet access
  • Photocopiers and fax machines
  • Resource materials
  • Phone to use in your employment and training search

Next Steps

After attending a REES Information Session, you will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a REES Assessment Specialist. These staff will provide you with appropriate referrals for employment, training, financial counseling, and adult education resources.
