TV, Film & Photography--Location Fees

Location Fees

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) charges a daily location fee for the right to film or shoot photography from a NYCHA development. For purposes of this fee, a day is defined as anywhere from 0 -12 hours. Any shooting which continues past 12 hours will automatically be considered a second day.

In addition to the location fees, production companies or individuals may make a donation directly to NYCHA. We emphasize that all donations are voluntary and at the discretion of the donor.

Overtime Reimbursements

The film or television production company must reimburse the Housing Authority for any and all overtime incurred by Housing Authority personnel, who may assist with TV or film productions at one of our developments.

For more information about location fees and overtime reimbursement, please contact NYCHA's Media Services Technicians:
Andy Nagy (212) 306-3314 or Maryetta Johnson (212) 306-3321.

Please review the links below for more information about shooting films and/or still photography on NYCHA property.
