CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT/BUILD SERVICES FOR MODERNIZATION OF WHITMAN & INGERSOLL HOUSES
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) seeks proposals from firms qualified to perform Construction Management/Build services for a major modernization project at Whitman and Ingersoll Houses in Brooklyn, N.Y. The scope of work will include interior renovation and/or reconfiguration of occupied and vacant apartments and replacement of elevators. The Construction Manager (CM) will provide services in accordance with the terms and conditions of a construction management contract. Under CM/Build the work will be performed by subcontractors working directly for the CM. NYCHA plans to award one contract for CM/Build services for approximately $100 million. This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and must be completed by December 2011. An early completion bonus is being considered.
Beginning on June 8, 2009 a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP), and partial Design Documents in disk form may be obtained without charge from Paul Vitale, Director of NYCHA Technical Support Unit, Capital Projects Division, at NYCHA's Bidders' Window, 90 Church Street, 11th Floor, New York, New York, 10007, between 10 AM and 4PM.
A mandatory Site Visit and Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 120 Navy Walk (between Tillary Street and Myrtle Avenue), Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 18, at 1:00 PM. Submissions are due on July 2, 2009 by 4:00 PM, at NYCHA's Technical Support Unit, Room 11-618, 90 Church Street, New York, New York 10007.

NYCHA Seeks Contractors (Multiple Trades) for Construction Management/Build Program
The New York City Housing Authority is planning extensive repairs to the exterior facades and roofs of a significant portion of the 2,694 buildings that it owns and operates. NYCHA is also planning projects for a variety of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and General Construction capital improvements. Assignments may include multi-site projects. Most work will be performed under NYCHA's CM/Build Program with pre-qualified subcontractors working directly for Construction Management (CM) firms retained by NYCHA.
