The 2012 program will run from July 5, 2012 through August 17, 2012. Youth between the ages of 14 and 24 can apply to work for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). Participants will work 25 hours a week, $7.25 an hour, Monday through Friday. NYCHA residency is not required to qualify for the program.

Starting on April 9, 2012 interested youth can apply online at DYCD's website: DYCD website or download an application here.

SYEP applications are also available at NYCHA Property Management Offices, Community Centers and at the Department of Resident Employment Services, located at 787 Atlantic Ave. – 2nd Floor. Completed applications must be returned to any NYCHA Property Management Office no later than May 18, 2012.
