Budget and Financial Plan
This section provides documents related to the Housing Authority’s budgets, both Operating and Capital, for the current year and projected for the next four years. Below you will find links to the Budget Summary, which is a broad overview of NYCHA’s proposed budget for the current year. You will also find the Budget Book, which provides a detailed account of NYCHA’s proposed Budget and Financial Plan for the current year as well as the next four years. 



FY 2008 Budget Information
The Board of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) has approved a Fiscal Year 2008 Preliminary Operating Budget and Four Year Financial Plan. Despite measures to reduce spending, the budget reflects a deficit of $195.3 million caused in large part by chronic Federal underfunding, as well as unreimbursed costs and increases in non-discretionary labor costs.

FY 2007 Budget Information
The Board of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) approved a Fiscal Year (FY) 2007 budget along with a four-year Financial Plan that reflects NYCHA's continued commitment to preserve public housing in New York City.

FY 2006 Budget Information
Here you will find information about the FY 2006 Budget, which includes the FY 2006 Capital Budget Briefing and summarizes NYCHA’s Board approved capital budget. The FY 2006 Capital Budget Detail documents come in two parts and present a comprehensive account of proposed capital expenditures by 1) the Capital Projects Division (CPD) at NYCHA housing developments (by borough), and 2) other capital expenditures (non-CPD) including those for administrative and IT infrastructure construction.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is a complete, independently audited set of NYCHA’s annual financial statements. In it you will find an introduction to NYCHA and our executive management team, management’s discussion and analysis of NYCHA’s financial performance, statements of net assets, revenues, expenses, cash flows and related information. The CAFR contains a statistical section comparing operating and non-operating revenues and expenses, financial indicators, resident demographics and data on NYCHA developments.
