Mr. Kurkjian was appointed Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in February 2013. In this capacity, he is responsible for strategic technology planning and all Information Technology Infrastructure operations.
Mr. Kurkjian brings to his position more than 25 years of progressive experience in IT strategic development and the various components of IT Infrastructure, including data center operations, local and wide area networking, voice communications, and information security. Prior to joining NYCHA, Mr. Kurkjian held the position of Chief Architect for Fujitsu United States Technologies, where he oversaw and provided technical solutions to their United States operations and supported all major technical contracts. His broad experience also includes seven years with Citibank, N.A. Insurance Services as a Vice President of Infrastructure and Application Development, in addition to various IT strategic planning roles at Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney and Amdahl Corporation.
Mr. Kurkjian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from New York University.
