John Saggese

Portrait of John SaggeseJohn Saggese was appointed Vice President for Enterprise Technology Portfolio Management for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in March 2007. He is responsible for financial and administrative services related to NYCHA’s significant IT investment portfolio of approximately $70 million. Administrative areas under Mr. Saggese’s jurisdiction include NYCHA’s IT Project Management Office (PMO), IT-Financial Management Liaison Unit, Payment Liaison Unit, IT-Human Resources Administration Liaison Unit, IT Disaster Recovery Unit, IT Security Administration Unit, IT Quality Assurance Unit, and IT Audit Unit.

Since joining NYCHA in 1992, Mr. Saggese has held a series of progressively responsible positions in analytical support, operational management, and strategic planning. He began his NYCHA career as Assistant Director for Capital Projects’ Office of Project Renovations, an analytical support group that provided operational and strategic decision support data to the department’s senior and executive management. Mr. Saggese also served as the Deputy Director for the Computerization and Automation Division and Deputy Director for Contracts Services and Asset Management. In 2001, Mr. Saggese moved to NYCHA’s Information Technology Department serving as the primary Project Manager for major business transformation projects.

Prior to joining NYCHA, Mr. Saggese served as the Deputy Director of Computer Technology Services and Director of the Tenant Administration Services and Inspection Division with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR) Office of Rent Administration (ORA).

Mr. Saggese holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Management from Baruch College.
