Brian Clarke was appointed Vice President of Operations for Support Services in the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in October 2007. This executive position directly oversees four division departments responsible for Applications and Tenancy Administration, Emergency Services, the Customer Contact Center (CCC), and Technical Services. In addition, Mr. Clarke provides direct support to the Executive Vice President of Operations in the day-to-day operation of 178,000 units of public housing in the five boroughs of New York City.
Mr. Clarke joined NYCHA in 1996 as the Coordinator of the Lead Detection and Abatement Unit in the Technical Services Department. Rising through the ranks, he was promoted in 1999 to Deputy Director for Technical Services and then, in 2004, to Director of the Technical Services Department. In this capacity, he was responsible for the provision of technical support and services for maintenance and construction projects throughout the Authority, as well as the planning and management of centralized support services and environmental issues.
Mr. Clarke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rutgers University.
