AIA 2005 Merit Design Award for Interior Architecture (O’Dwyer Gardens Community Center)

The American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) New York Chapter has honored the O’Dwyer Gardens Community Center with a 2005 Merit Design Award for Interior Architecture. This prestigious award was made by the AIA following their review of hundreds of worthy projects during the past year.

The NYCHA Office of Design project team led by Architect Jeffrey Ornstein worked with consultants Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects throughout the design and construction process to realize this award winning result.

The Interior Architecture Award recognizes architectural achievement in the field of interior design, which it credits with making “a material contribution to the quality of life in the city.”
