The Municipal Archives, which provided these photographs, is part of the Department of Records and Information Services, and is one of the little known treasures of New York. Archivists at 31 Chambers Street are ready to help researchers of all ages delve into their own histories and the history of the City. Visit between the hours of 9am - 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday; 9am - 1pm Friday, (holidays excluded).
