Charity Navigator Evaluates and rates the financial health of over 5,300 of the country’s largest charities.  Website includes many up-to-date articles on issues related to the sector as well as studies and annual surveys compiled with national-level data on nonprofits. Varies – updated frequently
Chronicle of Philanthropy Provides current information mainly in the form of articles, on happenings in the nonprofit sector as a whole.  While it is a national publication, there are many NYC specific articles.  All information is available online. Published biweekly
Federal Reserve Bank of NY Economists analyze local economic growth, labor markets, real estate, and public finance issues, contributing to discussions of regional and national economic policy and providing “Regional Indexes of Coincident Economic Indicators.”  Index of coincident Economic Factors updated monthly, with at least a two month lag.
