Forest Hills: Eat
It's all here for the tasting. Forest Hill's flavors include Cuban, Cajun, Japanese, Thai, Mexican and Italian. You can start your food fest at 70th Road between Austin Street and Queens Boulevard, a restaurant row with a variety of great eateries, and nosh your way through the neighborhood. As you walk through Forest Hills, don't forget to stop at gourmet specialty food stores and bakeries. You will also find Natural Foods, one of the largest organic marketplaces in Queens, at 72-56 Austin Street.

Cabana (107-10 70th Road) serves authentic tropical cuisine with generous portions while Rouge (107-04 70th Road), a French bistro, pleases crowds with its brunch, chicken crepes and wine tasting menu. If good old-fashioned "pub grub" is what you're after, the savory French steak sandwich (topped with garlic herb cream cheese) might be just the ticket.
