 EPISODE 1 - URBAN FARMING
New York City is a huge metropolis thats urban areas greatly outnumber its rural ones. Yet for a city of over 8 million people, New Yorkers consume a staggering amount of food. Where does it all come from? And is there a way for the city to produce its own crops and livestock within the confines of its urban landscape? LunchNYC takes a look at the efforts and movements trying to make this concrete jungle a little more edible. This episode, Urban Farming, is hosted by Nicole Parker.

It's no secret that New Yorkers live active lifestyles. NYC is on the forefront of reforming the way we eat and live, introducing new ways the city is regulating its diet, and informing its citizens of what's in the food they're eating. LunchNYC takes a tour of the most progressive food city in the country, deciphers some of the new food regulations, and explores the ingredients that are most beneficial for the body.



  EPISODE 5 - GOOD FOOD QUICKLY
Most people recognize the difference between junk food and foods that are healthy. But what about when there doesn't seem to be enough time to seek out what foods are best for your body? New York is home to thousands of places to grab a quick bite to eat, but not all of them are worth the wait. On LunchNYC, we're going to find the best way to grab a quick bite to eat, while staying healthy.



  EPISODE 6 - AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 BOROUGHS
There's no question that New York is a melting pot, but how many New Yorkers get to try all the different cuisines there are to eat? With diverse cultures from around the world, you could spend weeks sampling all the city has to offer. Here on LunchNYC, we set out to find the best ethnic dishes from all around the city, and show how diverse foods can be a great treat for your taste buds and be healthy for your body.



  EPISODE 7 - DIGESTIBLE EDUCATION
Where do good eating and exercising habits come from? Like any discipline, a healthy lifestyle must be learned at a young age. More parents are looking for ways to teach their kids (and themselves) how to eat healthy, and what foods have the best value. From schools to the dining room, LunchNYC explores the ways people are training themselves to cut back on the empty calories, and even save some money in the process.



  EPISODE 8 - FAMILY MEAL
Raising a family in the city can be a herculean task on its own, but coordinating dinner? Forget about it. With all the hectic schedules, events, and activities, it's getting harder for families to come together for a healthy, home cooked meal. This Thanksgiving, LunchNYC takes dinnertime to task, and explores ways to fit in a litle more face time with the family.



  EPISODE 9 - JUST DESSERTS
Who doesn't like a sweet treat now and then? But for the health-savvy confection connoisseur, finding a dessert that tastes great and is better for you is no cake walk. Here in New York City, there are tons of great sweets to choose from, but it can be difficult finding one that's healthy for you too. LunchNYC searches out the most nutritious desserts, and discovers ways to make a little bit of sweet go a long way.



  EPISODE 10 - THE CAFETERIA CHALLENGE
The New York City Department of Education is in the midst of a major overhaul of its school meals. Budget restraints and cutbacks require school cafeterias do more with less ingredients. Some cities would see this as a problem; however, here in New York some of the best local chefs and personalities are stepping up to the plate and reinventing healthy, simple foods for kids to munch on. LunchNYC is at the forefront of the revolution, and showcases what people are doing to put the health and taste back in school lunch.

Most people know the importance of getting three square meals a day, but sometimes in the city that never sleeps, one can crave a little something extra. While navigating a city where every corner has a vendor ready to sell you a quick bite to eat, it's hard to know how much to eat and how often. LunchNYC takes some tips from the experts, and travels the city looking for the perfect healthy snacks.

In New York City, tons of resources and technologies are used to promote healthier lifestyles, and many New Yorkers are dedicated to improving our lives through these means. Join LunchNYC as we discover some of the innovative ways New York is bringing healthy eating and exercise to the people, and explores the many ways in which you can help facilitate this movement in return.
