 Episode 1
Celebrity hair stylist Keith Campbell travels throughout the local area, visiting top hair design schools to spread the word that he is looking for an assistant. After a dynamic casting call, eleven candidates are selected and receive personal makeovers from Keith.

 Episode 2
The contestants learn their first challenge is all about pleasing a client. The first elimination takes place. The following day the contestants must show Keith Campbell and his team of experts their “signature cut.”

 Episode 3
Six contestants are left, and emotions are running high. The remaining contestants confront each other in the van on the way to Keith's salon. The air is thick with tension as they arrive at the salon for their next challenge, which ironically focuses on cooperation and teamwork. The contestants are split into teams of two and must put aside their differences to succeed.

 Episode 4
Following a surprising elimination, it’s now time for the contestants put their talents to work to transform the lives of three women who are part of Dress for Success, the non-profit program that prepares women for job interviews. The contestants must totally transform the women from head to toe and prepare them for a new job opportunity. Afterwards, the contestants face yet another task, where they hit the streets of Manhattan to find inspiration for an innovative hair style.

 Episode 5
The conclusion of the inspiration challenge takes place, ending with an elimination. The contestants meet Keith's daughter, who serves as a muse to show off one of his signature looks. The contestants must then copy that look, but there's a twist when the models show up.

 Episode 6
The final two contestants learn about their last challenge. They must plan, style and execute a photo shoot from start to finish before the winner can be announced.

 Episode 7
The contestants take a look back at their time competing to become “The Next Hair Architect”.
