NEW SHOWS PREMIERE ON NYC LIFE IN MARCH

March 3, 2014 - A variety of new and returning shows head to NYC life (Channel 25) in March with a focus on food, culture and everything that makes New York City unique. Among the new series premiering this month are:

From the creators of Book Case TV come Books du Jour with host Frederic Colier. The series, which airs Mondays at 9:30pm, provides a wide range of authors talking about books, their influences and life experiences.

Toni On! with host Toni Senecal is back with a new season as she takes on New York's offbeat and unusual locations, Wednesdays at 9pm.

Join travel host Mickela Mallozzi on her adventures as she experiences the world, one dance at a time on Bare Feet with Mickela Mallozzi airing Wednesdays at 9:30pm.

Film Lab Presents, airing Wednesdays at 10pm, offers a series of short films that examine what it means to be a minority member of a society.

Thursdays at 9pm is Healthy Soul. Hosted by award-winning culinary dietitian, Gina Keatley, the series takes viewers to some unlikely places on ingredient hunts and explores the "soul" of different foods before facing the challenge to recreate the menu with all of the passion and none of the pounds. 

Potluck Video, airing Thursdays at 9:30pm, features interviews with some of the City's most renowned chefs and personalities, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at restaurateurs, mixologists and producers.

In addition to these series, a number of short-form programs air each week and available to view online, including That's So New York, City Scoop, $9.99 Minute, Kela Walker Hates Working Out and the NYC4Free Calendar. Joining these videos are new shorts Secrets of New York Notebook, giving viewers a look into the best of Secrets of New York, and Neighborhood Slice, which tells the story of different NYC neighborhoods from the people who have been there the longest.
