Waterfront Subcommittee
The Waterfront subcommittee is successor to the original waterfront taskforce established in December 2002 to formulate a viable plan for the area from the Brooklyn Bridge north to East River Park.  Through a series of community meetings begun in 2003, the many constructive and creative ideas expressed by community members for the waterfront were shared with Economic Development Corporation, NYC Department of City Planning and other City agencies.  These ideas were conceptually approved by Community Board in September 2005, and many of the ideas have been incorporated in a broad waterfront plan.  The current subcommittee will continue to work with the City to provide input and support, and to monitor the City's progress in this long-needed and exciting plan for the improvement of our waterfront.
