The Landmarks Preservation Commission’s forms,
publications and reports are all available in Adobe AcrobatTM format.
The forms include applications to perform work on a
landmarked property, nominate a new landmark or historic district, and alert the
Commission to potential violations.
Publications include the Commission’s Rules, work
guidelines and master plans for some historic districts.
Designation reports, compiled by LPC’s Research
Department, document the significance of a landmarked site and its physical
appearance at the time of designation. The reports contain current and historic
photographs and information such as the date of construction, architect,
builder, neighborhood history, style and design and past and current owners.
Archaeology reports, compiled by professional
archaeologists and reviewed by LPC’s Archaeology Department, detail the history
of certain excavation sites throughout the City, whether any archaeological
remains may be there, the significance of discovered remains and field testing
results.
