Who may seek LPC comments for a project review?
The most appropriate party to initiate consultation is the permitting/funding/approval agency (city, state, or federal). This party may also be the lead agency for the project.
What does LPC need from the applicant to conduct a project review?
See the Environmental Review Submission Requirements
Do all projects require archaeological review?
Not always. In cases where no in-ground construction is proposed or will result from the action, an archaeological review may not be necessary. If a project involves in-ground disturbance, a review may be needed unless substantial prior ground disturbance can be documented.
Where can I get additional help?
See the webpage for the Mayor’s Office of Environmental Coordination.

Who do I contact for additional information?
For general information, contact Environmental Review Coordinator, Gina Santucci, at gsantucci@lpc.nyc.gov. Please be prepared to provide the block/lot, address, borough, and CEQR number (if available) for your project.
For information on Archaeology, contact Amanda Sutphin at asutphin@lpc.nyc.gov.
How long does the review process take?
Provided all review materials are complete, the review takes approximately two weeks or less.
If my CEQR project includes a LPC designated property, and is currently undergoing review by the LPC preservation department, do I need to complete the LPC review prior to initiating my CEQR review?
No. The LPC CEQR findings will indicate that the LPC permit process has been initiated.
If my project only involves state and federal permits/funding and does not involve any city permits or funding, do I need to contact LPC?
It is recommended that the applicant contact LPC for any proposed action in the event that the project may affect or impact a designated/eligible city landmark.
