The LMEC is partnering with business and professional associations and educational institutions to develop the media and entertainment workforce.

The LMEC is conducting ongoing outreach to business and professional associations and participating at panels, forums, and networking events.

In our efforts to help develop and strengthen the workforce, the LMEC created the "LMEC: Linking Industry and Educational Institutions" group made up of Hispanic Advertising, New Media and Latin media and entertainment executives as well as chairs and directors from various colleges and universities.

The group met at Time Warner on March 4, 2008, and established a private Linkedin  network to maintain many-to-many communications, share information, expand our networks, develop new ideas, create new practices, and raise awareness about opportunities both in the industry and educational institutions.

It's our goal that the group develops some recommendations that we can present and discuss at our LMEC-LatinVision conference scheduled for October 2008.
