Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg created the Latin Media and Entertainment Commission to make New York City the Latin media capital of the world.

Through strategic initiatives and plans, the LMEC is working to:

	Promote economic development for Hispanic advertising and new media companies
	Create and support events that are an experience and a destination for people around the world
	Partner with business and professional associations and educational institutions to develop the media and entertainment workforce
