Laban J. McCormack Hurtado is President / Owner of
McCormack Enterprise, an international accounting and tax preparation business
serving the community for over 13 years. Previously, he worked at West Harlem
Group as an accountant and assistant comptroller where he oversaw accounting and
financial reporting for Housing Preservation Development and its private
division
Commonwealth Management
Service.
Mr. McCormack, also known as Jimmy,
has been involved in the Latin entertainment business community for more than 15
years during which he has worked as a promoter and artist manager for concerts
and events throughout the City of New York and
his native Panama. He has worked with artists such as Marc Anthony, La India, Oscar D’
León, Giro López, La Factoría, Los Dinámicos Exciters, and Mickey
Taveras.
In 2005, he was named President of
The Brooklyn Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
He holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business from the Panama National University and a
specialty in Small Business Administration at I.N.C.A.E. Costa
Rica.
