I graduated in the first class from CUNY Law School, and was the first CUNY graduate hired by the Law Department. I have worked in three divisions of the Law Department, and spent 1999-2006 as Executive Agency Counsel at the Human Resources Administration.
In the Commercial Litigation Division I handle complex civil actions, most involving large government construction projects. During seven years in the division I have also handled civil rights cases, an antitrust case, and some real estate matters. Two significant cases were General Contractors Association v. Tormenta, 259 AD2d 177 (1st Dept. 1999) app. den. 95 NY2d 754 (2000) and Housing Works v. City, 255 AD2d 209 (1st Dept. 1998).
