Pro Bono/Community Service

The Law Department encourages our attorneys to become involved in pro bono legal activities and local bar associations.

As an organization, we believe that participation in these activities is not only beneficial to the community but also makes our professional lives more rewarding.

The Law Department keeps an updated list of available pro bono legal activities and non-legal community service opportunities. From time to time, we host sessions for our attorneys to hear about the experiences of their colleagues who are involved in pro bono activities and serve on bar associations.

Some of the kinds of volunteer legal activities and pro bono work done by our attorneys include arbitrating disputes in Small Claims Court, drafting Wills, assisting with Pro Se uncontested divorces, providing counselling on immigration issues, and participating in evening clinics sponsored various bar associations.  Our attorneys are also mentor high school students in various law related programs, including mock trials and moot court competitions.
