For the second consecutive year, the Simulation Center was visited by group of middle school students from MS 192 in Queens. The visit was sponsored by the Doris McCartney Theta Chi Academy Nursing Club at MS 192. “Our aim,” said Patricia Newton, RN, a member of Theta Chi Chapter of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, “is to expose the students to health related experiences so that they might consider careers in nursing or other health related professions.” Jessica Pohlman, NREMT-P, the Simulation Center's Senior Simulation Specialist, gave the group of 25 students a tour of the faciity and lead a very lively question and answer session following the tour.

Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. is a professional organization for registered professional nurses and student nurses (male and female) representing many cultures and diverse ethnic backgrounds. More than 8000 Registered Nurses and Student Nurses hold membership in Chi Eta Phi Sorority.
