Benny Turner is Director of Operations for the Institute for Medical Simulation and Advanced Learning. Prior to this position he was Deputy Director of the Bronx Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO), the first regional electronic health information exchange to "go live" in New York City. His primary responsibilities at the Bronx RHIO were to manage operations and the training program for users of the system. His professional background also includes extensive experience in planning and program development at New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, where he was a Senior Associate Director of the Queens Health Network.

Benny is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned a Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
