Dr. Amit Tibb is a front line clinician, researcher and educator. He is the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Jacobi Medical Center in New York City. He is also attending physician on the palliative care and pulmonary services and retains faculty position as Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he has been awarded “Outstanding Teacher” by the residency program for the last two years. He is American Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, Palliative and Hospice Medicine.
Dr. Tibb has been faculty for several ultrasound simulation courses over the last four years and has given grand rounds on integration of ultrasound in the intensive care unit both nationally and internationally. In addition, he completed fellowship training in clinical quality and patient safety and is involved in outcomes research both in clinical medicine, medical simulation and critical care. His interest in medical education, simulation and outcomes research has him deeply involved with IMSAL with the goal of utilizing simulation as a part of daily operations to improve the overall processes of care in the health care setting.
