Michael Meguerdichian, MD


Dr. Michael Meguerdichian is a member of the Faculty at the Institute for Medical Simulation and Advanced Learning. His responsibilities at the center include teaching the Advanced Airway Skills, Basic Airway Skills, Central Line Placement Skills and Cardiac Code Team courses. He is currently working with the IMSAL Director of Education to develop new courses focusing on ACLS and ATLS principles. Dr. Meguerdichian concurrently works at both Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx as an Emergency Physician. He is board-certified and a trained instructor in ACLS, PALS and ATLS.

Dr. Meguerdichian attended Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the Jacobi/Montefiore Emergency Medicine Program. As chief resident, his responsibilities included organizing weekly lectures where he pursued introducing simulation as an educational tool. Since completing his residency program, he has been working on a curriculum for Emergency Medicine residents in simulation focusing on teamwork and emergent pathophysiology.
