Global Partners Junior Anthology
The Global Partners Junior Anthology highlights outstanding student work from Unit 3: Bringing Fiction to Life during 2013-2014 academic year. Students were asked to use their interviews with community leaders to compose a fictional story about a character taking action – big or small – to improve the local community. The project focused on improving students’ grammar skills, point-of-view consistency, plot structures, figures-of-speech usage, and critical thinking. The Anthology also includes 13 winning and honorable-mentioned stories from the Spring 2013 Global Partners Junior Creative Writing Contest. The highest-scoring New York and international student in the contest each received a laptop.
