On August 4, 2011, Mayor Bloomberg launched New York City’s Young Men’s Initiative. This initiative, the most comprehensive effort of its kind nationwide, will span numerous City agencies and their services in order to connect young black and Latino men to greater opportunities in education, mentoring and employment. The YMI report presents the cumulative research, findings, and recommendations from the Inititaives two co-chairs, David Banks and Ana Oliveira.
