Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP)
EFAP provides funding to more than 500 soup kitchens and food pantries citywide. EFAP staff coordinate the distribution of non-perishable food commodities to the members as well as monitor the emergency feeding program members to ensure adherence to EFAP and agency guidelines.

Food Stamp and Nutrition Outreach Program (FSNOP)
The Food Stamp Nutrition Outreach Program (FSNOP) specializes in educating the general public about the Food Stamp program. FSNOP is a component of the Office of Food Programs and Policy Coordination, which also administers the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP).
FSNOP staff disseminate eligibility information and assist with the Food Stamp application process throughout the five boroughs of New York City. Outreach is regularly conducted at publicly accessible sites such as soup kitchens and food pantries, hospitals, senior centers, WIC sites, and public libraries.
This program won the USDA Hunger Champion award in 2007.
