Vocational Training

Approved Training Providers assist eligible Cash Assistance participants in obtaining vocational training and educational services.

Training Provider Tracking System
Training Provider Tracking System (TPTS) is an HRA/DSS application which enables trainers to submit provider details, program information, and student attendance rosters online. HRA/DSS monitors this information and enters either approved or disapproved status. To become an HRA/DSS approved provider, follow the instructions provided by the Training Provider Tracking System.

Approved Training Programs
This listing is comprised of locally based colleges, schools and training programs that are approved by HRA for enrollment by eligible Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Safety Net Cash Assistance (SNCA), Safety Net Non-Cash (SNNC) participants. All participants must be aware that HRA will not cover the cost of tuition, books and fees for these programs.

Participants must discuss their request for acceptance into a program with their Job Opportunity Specialist/Training Assessment Group (JOS/TAG) Worker. Please be aware that four year programs can not count towards allowable training or work activity hours. HRA does allow some of the hours of a two year program to be counted toward allowable training hours.

Only training/educational programs on this list can be counted towards HRA's mandatory work requirements. A program may apply for inclusion on this listing by using the Training Provider Tracking System (TPTS).
