HPD assists residential owners of one-to four-family homes to comply with the City's Housing Maintenance Code. HPD also provides hands-on assistance to owners to help resolve a wide range of finance and management issues. There are also courses to help owners with credit counseling, budgeting, foreclosure prevention, home maintenance and repairs. HPD offers low-cost loans for home repair, such as the replacement of one or more building systems.
The section includes mortgage refinancing procedures for HPD-sponsored homes, including HomeWorks, Nehemiah, New Foundations, Partnership New Homes, and StoreWorks Homes.
