Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the West 44th Street and Eleventh Avenue Rezoning – January 2010

The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), acting as lead agency, issued a Notice of Completion on January 13, 2010 for a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the West 44th Street and Eleventh Avenue Rezoning proposal in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Conservation Law. A public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 22 Reade Street, New York, New York 10007. The public hearing on the DEIS was held in conjunction with the City Planning Commission’s public hearing pursuant to Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP). Comments on the DEIS were requested and were accepted until December 14, 2009. The FEIS reflects all substantive comments made on the DEIS during the public hearing and subsequent comment period and additional analysis conducted subsequent to the completion of the DEIS.
