are requested with respect to issues to be addressed in the Draft Environmental
Impact Statement. Written comments will be accepted by the lead agency until
Friday, January 23, 2009.
The Proposed Action involves several
discretionary actions, including zoning changes, city map amendments, special
permits, a zoning certification, disposition of City-owned property and project
approval and designation of the site as an Urban Development Action Area Project
(UDAAP). In addition, funding may
be sought from various federal, state, and local agencies. The Proposed Action would affect an
approximately 5.8-acre site located on the Gowanus Canal
