The New Housing Marketplace Place 2003-2014: A Decade of Investment in New Yorkers and Their Neighborhoods: As of the close of 2013, the City has reached 97% of its goal to build or preserve 165,000 units of affordable housing by June 2014. These efforts have reshaped the City’s neighborhoods, propelled community revitalization, created thousands of jobs, and laid the groundwork for a surge in private sector investment. .
2013 New Housing Marketplace Plan (NHMP) Update: The City has reached 95% of its NHMP goal of building and preserving 165,000 units of affordable housing! In fiscal year 2013, the City leveraged and invested $2.1 billion to finance 15,223 units of income-restricted affordable housing. That’s 156,351 affordable homes financed throughout New York City since the inception of the New Housing Marketplace Plan. Read more
