Rent Guidelines Board Reports
The NYC Rent Guidelines Board has released all six research reports of the 2008 season: The Housing Supply Report, the Changes to the Rent Stabilized Housing Stock in NYC in 2007 study, the Price Index of Operating Costs study, the Mortgage Survey, the Income & Expense Study, and the Income & Affordability Study are now available for download on the NYC Rent Guidelines Board Web site.

First Section 8 Vouchers Issued Since List Reopened
NYCHA distributed more than 200 Section 8 vouchers to eligible households for the first time since the waiting list reopened last January. Additionally, NYCHA introduced new customer service and Web-based enhancements for Section 8 landlords.

Work Advantage invests in homeless families who work full or part-time by giving them the rent support they need to move towards independence. It provides a strong motivation to work while moving families out of shelter and into the community.
